Fun for the little ones..
As we’ve grown as a family, so has the campsite. The third generation of Polmanter Osbornes is now having its input into our family-friendly activities!
We’ve recently added a new playground – and because you never know what the weather will be doing, an indoor soft play area and climbing wall. From toddlers to teenagers, there are plenty of places for younger guests to play or hang out.
Older children favour the games room which has pool and table football, as well as that all-important change machine.
Our 20 metre heated outdoor swimming pool has a shallow area for smaller swimmers – Please note there is no lifeguard cover, and we ask that all swimmers under 15 are supervised by an adult.
There are two outdoor playgrounds, one for toddlers and preschoolers and a more “extreme” one for children over five years old. And because we’re all big kids at heart, especially when we’re on holiday, our activities are designed for the whole family to enjoy together, including tennis courts, a putting green, and a sports field. Rackets, balls, and clubs are on loan from Reception.
Our indoor soft play area and climbing wall have been a great hit with out younger guests. Perfect for burning off some energy before dinner, or to entertain on a rainy day.
We also run a programme of events in the busier months. Keep an eye out for what’s on at the Stable Bar, from chilled-out guitars to a weekly children’s party. Also look out for child-friendly fitness sessions, such as the children’s “boot camp”.
Children are very welcome in the Stable Bar and Restaurant, and we have a quality children’s menu of home-cooked, local food. We appreciate that kids can be fussy eaters, so please just let us know if you need any dishes adjusting to suit their tastes!
When it comes to campsite facilities, we know that families with younger children need extra space, so each amenities block has family shower rooms, equipped with a shower, toilet, basin, and bench. We learned from our own babies that very young children don’t always like showers, so we installed special baths, perfectly sized for babies and toddlers.
