Cornish creatures: wildlife spotting in St Ives

It’s not just humans that love to explore Cornwall: it’s been a great destination for animal visitors, too. We’ve previously been entertained by stories of Wally the Walrus and his jaunt around Cornwall and Scilly, and all wished we’d been at the Minack when a pair of orcas swam by.

Some of our favourite Cornish food producers

We produce a lot of food in Cornwall. We’re known for our fish, vegetables, meat and dairy, which are eaten all over the country. Then of course, there’s all the must-eat Cornish foods: it wouldn’t be a holiday here without a pasty, a cream tea, and fish and chips by the sea!

Holidays with your dog in St Ives

“It wouldn’t be a holiday without the dog.” We hear that said so often; and many families choose to stay in the UK so their pet can accompany them. We love to see happy dogs enjoying their hols at Polmanter, and there’s a lot for them to do in the local area.
